The big astrology news this week is the new Moon Tuesday in the fire sign of Sagittarius! Just like the Sun entering Sag last week, this aspect will bring a blast of fresh energy, verve and new possibilities with it. You may want to work the new Moon energy by simply getting stuff done. This is also a potent time to get visible in your community around your values and see where you fit in the larger scheme of activism and helping others. Below, you can read your sign for more info and also to see how this week will connect to the full Moon later this month, which will be the culmination of this week’s new Moon energies.

Aries: On Tuesday, the new Moon may have you reaching for new books, movies and other inspirational things. If you’ve been feeling creatively in a rut, or you feel like you haven’t been able to take in quality art, this week could be your kick-off for a period of enrichment! Until the 15th or so, you may have lots of energy available to you to expand your horizons. You may want to reflect on the books you’re reading and the movies you’re currently watching as well. Take stock in your feelings after walking away from them. Do you feel good or fuzzy? Clear or tense? Did they leave you longing for more? This is the time to up your game with what you let your senses take in. You may also want to make or lock down travel arrangements between now and the 13th, especially if it’s for the end of the month.

Taurus: This Tuesday is a powerful new Moon that may be able to really help you transform and power up to another level, Taurus. If you tap into the lunar energies, you may find all sorts of avenues for fresh beginnings and creating new modalities for yourself to live and breathe in the world. If you’ve been looking to conquer debt or your taxes, now would be a great time to do that as well. Thursday through early Saturday morning may also find you delving into new books or movies — or making travel plans. You may even feel a trip is important to help aid you in your quest for your new inner rebirth. Taking the time to really meditate on change and what you need could be helpful in making decisions in the coming weeks as well.

Gemini: This week may bring some powerful feelings and changes when it comes to your one-on-one relationships. You may be feeling this energy all the way through to the 13th of December, when these feelings may come to a climax, ultimately leaning in your favor. The end goal may not be as important as the beginning, however, and it could be time to think about  what you need to be different in your relationships. The lunar energy this week can help you find what you need and want and may also help you get it, but you have to be willing to look at outdated patterns directly, whether they are yours or someone else’s. Change can be scary, but you’ll be more in control if you initiate changes rather than let changes happen to you. Find your meaning, find your strategy and go for it.

Cancer: This new Moon may be the best time of the whole year to create new and engaging personal practices around living better. This is a great time to review the three basics; breathing, eating and hydration. Are you breathing correctly and often? Most of us forget that when we breathe in the belly should expand like a balloon, and when we breathe out it should deflate. We also forget to breathe in moments of fear, anger and panic, which can perpetuate the situation. Are you drinking enough water to stay hydrated? Are you drinking things with a lot of toxins that may make you feel bad? Same for food? Or are you nourishing yourself? You may want to start here and branch out. Before you can make your mind right, your body needs to be happy!

Leo: This new Moon and through the beginning of the month, you may feel more in touch with your ability to have fun, especially if you are a parent, or inviting romance into your life in any way shape or form. If you are a parent, you may find new ways to exist every day with your children and, as a result, have more fun with them and the challenges that also come with being a parent. If you’re invoking more romance into your life, this may be a fantastic week to get out there and mix and mingle in a safe way. These could be prime days for dates, whether it’s with new folks or people that have been in your life a long time. Rekindling or kindling magic can happen now. The whole month may prove to be social for you as well, however, the romantic magic is strongest from Tuesday through the 14th.

Virgo: The new Moon on Tuesday may bring a fresh blast of energy into your home life, Virgo. If there are any home-related projects you’ve been putting off, now would be the time to get it done, and get it done right. This may even include decluttering kitchen cabinets, closets and/or drawers, repainting, buying furniture, organizing or construction. Maybe it’s reclaiming your porch or guest rooms after years of shoving boxes or other unwanted materials in there. This may include getting rid of jewelry from an ex or other sentimental pieces that you just don’t need anymore. You may think of this new Moon energy as a beautiful new fire, breathing fresh life into your home base and creating new possibilities, whatever you’re working with. This may also be a key time to find a new place, or new roommates.

Libra: My little Libra, you’ve been working so hard this year, and this new Moon is going to ask you to implement some of those brave new communications strategies you’ve been trying so very hard to create the past six months (or longer). This new Moon is all about redefining yourself, how you feel heard and how you speak to the world. The world needs your viewpoint, and this week will be a test run on how you’re able to walk the line between fitting in and standing out, between feeling heard and feeling whole. In short, it’s about being who you truly are. More inspiration will be coming to aid you mid-month with a visionary full Moon on the 13th, but for now, play with who you are and how you communicate and interact with the outside world.

Scorpio: I don’t want to tell you to use this new Moon on Tuesday to go shopping, but honestly, Scorpio, this may be the best time of the whole year to kick your wardrobe into high gear. Even if you don’t have a lot of cash on hand, purchasing a key piece or accessory that really speaks to you and makes you feel like “you” could be a great uplift. Alternately, you could use this time to clean out your closet or trade stuff in as you focus on having possessions that really bring you joy and make you feel good. Is it time to let go of some things? Is it time for some new things? Maybe it’s time to rethink your philosophy around owning items in general, if you want to get really deep. Or maybe it’s just time to curate that wardrobe that screams “I’m here, I’m me, and I love myself.”

Sagittarius: This is your week, Sag, and you may feel some rumblings of change in and around who you are and what it means to be you. This will start to affect your one-on-one relationships later in the month, around the 13th with the full Moon in Gemini, but for now your task at hand is to get right with who you are and what you want. Now is the time to reflect and initiate in your life. What do you hold sacred? Do your values and actions align? Are you dressing how you want to dress, and in what makes you feel happy? Are you living how you want to live? Now is the time notice where things feel off, so you can begin to make the changes to need to feel 100 percent every day, no matter what.

This week is your license to chill, Capricorn. I know you don’t like to get too “into” a thought process that isn’t practical or may not yield “direct results,” but this week, starting Tuesday, the Lunar energies are giving you a reprieve to just let your mind go wherever it needs to, including some pretty out-there places. Honestly, what do you have to lose by allowing your subconscious to run free? Could free-form journaling actually hurt you? Could sitting around in sweatpants and playing with oracle cards actually be fun? Could meditation maybe take you to a new place that could help ease your mind? Maybe coloring is for adults, too? These are questions I would urge you to play with, and see how some of these more out-there things feel to you before you say no. We all need a little R and R Capricorn, and this week it’s time to get yours.

Aquarius: This new Moon is all about your friends and community, Aquarius. After years of maybe feeling out of place, weird or an outsider, you may be starting to see how your unique ideals, values and communication styles can really make a difference in this world — and where there is a place for you. Now is a great time for you to be heard, with the energies culminating at the full Moon on the 13th. You don’t have to have everything perfect or set, you just need to get out there and simply be. Take lunches, go to meetups, lend your ear, your advice, hold space for other people in your community and you will start to see the results you’ve been looking for. This week it’s enough to show up for yourself and other people.

Pisces: The new Moon on Tuesday may be a great time to revisit and aggressively go after your career goals. If you’ve been needing to pitch, ask for a raise, start a new project or finish up an outstanding one, this week may give you the extra energy you may need to make a big push towards something. You may also want to chart out your personal career development or seek help on a professional development strategy. You’re so talented, Pisces, and sometimes it may feel like a career is “boxing you in.” But with such a visionary persona, you also have the tools to figure out what you want and need and move forward. The time is now, and it is possible to create a career that feels satisfying, Pisces.
